HK, Day 2 - Discovery Bay/International Finance Center (IFC)/Ladies Night Market

Plans for the day: Ferry to Discovery Bay, IFC Mall, evening at the Ladies Market

Highlights:
- Lots of walking. Great exercise. Love my Shape-up shoes. They really work for me as I can walk all day in the city and not feel it.
- Discovery Bay was not crowded at all. It was peaceful and calm and beautiful.
- Got to experience two extreme surroundings: Big, beautiful, posh IFC designer mall and crowded, colorful aromatic street fair.

We took the Ferry to Discovery Bay. HK's Sausilito-like town.

Beautiful stretch of beach. Deserted because it was cold and wet. It seems we brought the cold weather with us.
Lunch at a Thai restaurant: Kohtomyuns on Discovery Bay.
Maci and Josh on Cloud 9 with their fave drinks: fresh coconut and Coke.

IFC/Designer Mall
HUGE mall!

From designer mall to the streets at Ladies Night Market.

Snack time at the street fair. Oh boy!

"I'll take one eye-of-newt, please."
Tentacle Ka-bobs, anyone? Tried this one. Chewy!

Choice of duck tongues, intestine, or tentacles. Added to cold bag of noodles and sauce.

And then back to fine dining at an elegant apartment complex.

Jet lag caught up to Maci and Josh (across the table).

-  FYI to work-out buddies: With all the food intake I've decided to take the nearby stairs (400 steps going up and down) every morning for exercise. Add to that all the walking we do throughout the day and I don't feel too bad eating everything...well, almost everything.
